Everything You Need to Know about the Full Day Jeep Tour With Hike

For the perfect mix of exploring and activities, our Full Day Wadi Rum Tour & Hike package offers you a unique desert experience that stretches over two days. Explore Wadi Rum, spend the night in a desert camp and scale on of the desert’s highest peaks on the next day.

Full Day Tour & Hike Stops

Upon arrival in Wadi Rum, you will spend your first day getting familiar with the red desert and learn about its rich culture and history.

Starting from Wadi Rum Village, you will discover the main sights of Wadi Rum and partake in exciting actities. We start our Full Day Tour by mounting on of our 4×4 vehicles driven by your very own English-speaking Bedouin guide.

With sights such as the Nabatean temple and Lawrence Spring, the first part of the tour aims at giving you an understanding of the millennia-old settlement history of Wadi Rum.

At Al-Kazali Canyon this history is represented by some well-preserved rock art on the wall of the canyon created by the Nabataean civilisation many millennia ago.

This is also where nature starts to blend in with settlement in the Wadi Rum desert. Al-Kazali Canyon is an oasis to life – plant, animal and human – alike in the desert.

Venturing further into the desert, we will stretch our legs with some light scrambles around the Red Sand Dune and the Small Rock Bridge. Your efforts will be rewarded by some top-notch panoramic views of the Wadi Rum desert.

From there, we will visit a supposed sight of modern Wadi Rum history – Lawrence’s House. A certain Lawrence of Arabia played an important role in the Arab Revolt during World War I, part of which he experienced from Wadi Rum. The remnants of his alleged house remain on a plateau in the desert.

As sun nears its zenith, we take cover in the shade of a mountain and get some much-needed rest. Lay down and relax, while your Bedouin guide props up his desert kitchen to serve you with a nutritious meal. Eat, drink, chat and get as much rest as you need, while the hottest hours of the day pass.

After your break, your body and mind refreshed, you will be ready to get familiar with yet another wonder of the Wadi Rum desert: Mushroom Rock. No idea what that could be? Don’t worry, you will find out soon enough!

Soon after, it will be time to embark on the last part of your Full Day Tour. A lengthy walk through the wide Abu Khashaba Canyon is followed by a thrilling sandboarding ride – an activity you do not want to miss!

After that, your guide will conclude your tour at Umm Froth Bridge, just before taking you deeper into the White Desert of Wadi Rum to a secret sunset spot. Watch the sun wave goodbye to the desert, as you slurp some tasty Bedouin tea.

Back in the desert came, a full buffet will be waiting to fill your stomach, just before you get a comfortable night’s sleep in your very own Bedouin-style tent. Be sure to get enough rest, as a hike will be waiting for you next morning.
